This bio-energy power station was built with the purpose of producing heat for the paper-factory of Stromsdal.
The wooden wastes produced in the factory are channelled to the power station which with them produces heat later used by the factory itself.
The power station also has heat accumulators which use the thermo energy when the factory is closed.
The heat is not only used by the factory, but also to heat the town.
